Filipinos are renowned all over the world not only as skilled professionals but also as talented dancers, singers and artists. It is different when you get to represent your own country in an international competition and come home with pride and dignity after winning the Gold!
I was not able to bring home the crown when i competed for Miss Model International 2005 in the caribbean islands but im proud to say that i was able to land in the top 15 finalists after competing with 60+ girls all over the globe. I felt more triumphant when i bagged the 4th runner up and best grace award when i represented the philippines in the Best Model of the World 2005 in Istanbul, Turkey. My friends and family was so proud that i was able to be recognized in other countries. :)
so to the Philippine All-Stars.. Congratulations and More power!!!

it was raining sooo freakin' hard that night.. and there were several brownouts before the event.. i never thought the event would actually push through but it did so i was actually happy about it because i was already there and i had nowhere to go since it was flooded all over the metro..
fresh manila flew in "Buff Monster" for several events here in manila that includes signing of buff monsters toys and live body painting. Buff was so nervous he kept trembling while painting me but i told him that it was okay as long as he doesnt touch me :D heeehee...
the night ended so quickly and by the time we finished the event the rain had stopped while everybody continued to partay...

words of wisdom
by: Shelley Poitras
Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping - they called it "opportunity".

i saw this quote in one of facebook's applications... one lady wrote this down and it caught my attention. i always keep in mind to be mindful of the things that come out of my mouth and as what my bf would always say, "if you dont have anything good to say its better not to say anything at all"
on most occasions people who are tactless are the ones who always get into trouble. im not tactless and im not the type of person who would say bad things about others. i usually wont care about what people do as long as they are aware of what they are doing to themselves and to other people.
its just nice to think about these things once in a while because with people getting busy with thier work and the continuous growth of the industrial age, they tend to neglect certain things that would not only make them a better person but also make the world a better place to live in ;)

i have always been a sucker for adventure so when we went to macau to work i wanted to try out the bungy jumping... macau has the world's highest platform thats why i am ever so proud to say that i was able to conquer that tower!
one of my goals in life now would be to be able to try out different bungy spot in the world! how fun could that be! weeew!
it started with amy wanting to jump but it was kind of expensive so we were thinking if we should go or not, our friend jared had friends working there so he asked amy if she wanted to jump, that was going to be his birthday gift for amy, so she told him that she will only say yes if i will jump too.. and it has been a lifelong dream for me to be able to jump off that tower so i grabbed to opportunity right away!
so we did... it was scary though but fun! haha! when we got to the top of the tower (which was about 70 floors i think) amy asked me why i talked her into jumping.. i was just so enthusiastic about it and nervous at the same time.. they prepared us for the jump so we had no choice but to do it! it was soooooooo fun and i wouldnt mind doing it again and again and again!

modeling isnt that glamourous as what most people think.. we get called in early and reherse on stilettos several times before the show starts.. we have to endure waiting for hours doing nothing but wait for the show to begin, but shows usually end in just 30 mins or less and have our hair damaged by so much hair products and styling...
our faces are filled with soo much makeup, specially for shoots and commercials that sometimes we have to wear the make up the entire day and have it baked into our faces by the heat of those spolights on the runway... i had to fight the pain that blisters bring when using shoes that doesnt even fit jsut because the designers said so...
even if youre tired from the whole day's work you still have to stay and mingle with people even if you dont know most of them.. one thing i hate the most is having to still look okay even when you are really not...
one thing that keps me in this business is my passion for fashion and the people i met along the way, i have established good relationships with the people i worked with and im proud to say that after years in the business i have never done anything to hurt others and ruin my name..
